Welcome to our class!
My name is Karen Davidson and this will be my 18th year teaching at Kennedy Elementary School! I am a Badger at heart, having grown up in Madison, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Journalism and later received my teaching certification from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. In 2007 I completed my Masters degree, with an emphasis in reading, from St. Mary's University.
My husband Cam, a geology professor at Carleton College, and I live in Northfield, MN and are now "empty nesters". We have a wonderful daughter, Carly, who was married to Shane in December. Carly is a pilot for a charter company and lives in Phoenix with Shane, who works for State Farm and REI. We also have a fabulous son, Peter, who is working on his PhD in geology at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. We love living in Minnesota and have always enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking and skiing as a family. I love teaching second grade and look forward to a wonderful year of learning with your child. |
